Between the Pines is a handwoven and dyed scarf made from tencel yarn. Tencel gives a lovely weight to the scarf but keeps you warm when the weather is chilly. This piece features an embroidered mountain range, inserts of thicker pieces of yarn and twisted fringe ends. Before placed onto the loom, the yarn was gravity ice dyed to create different variants of colors and tones.
This piece was woven on a 16 shaft table loom. Must be washed by hand and hung to dry. Can be ironed on a cotton heat setting but avoid touching the wool.
